Biography
Michael A. Peterson returns to ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ University after designing Big Love this past fall. He is currently the General Manager and the lighting designer for ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Repertory Theatre in Eugene, Oregon.
Before moving to Eugene in the summer of 1999, Michael Peterson was at PCPA TheatreFest in Santa Maria, California where he was a member of the company since the fall of 1984. While he was at PCPA he served as the Conservatory Director/Technical Theatre, Resident Lighting Designer, and Lighting Director. As PCPA’s Resident Lighting Designer since the Spring of 1986 he designed lights for over seventy productions including; Tommy, Robin Hood, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Stand-Up Tragedy, A Christmas Carol, Sophisticated Ladies, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Chorus Line and West Side Story.
As a freelance lighting designer, he has also worked on the national tour of City of Angels as a lighting design assistant, as well as designing for David Crosby and & CPR, Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, Suzy Boggus, Desert Rose Band, Zaca Creek, American Players Theatre, Diablo Valley College, Allan Hancock College Dance Department, the Music Academy of the West, San Jose Rep, and S.B.C.L.O.
