Biography
Sean Carlson was guest artist, music designer and associate sound designer for ӶƵ University Theatre production Lie of the Mind; and guest artist, music director, arranger, and stage musician for The Tooth of Crime.
Sean Carlson has been practicing, performing and recording music for the past three-and-a-half decades. He composes serious music, silly pop songs, and has done arrangements for musicals and for rock bands. He has played it straight off the chart and so out it's on the edge of destruction. He has played in everything from orchestra sized ensembles, jazz quartets, three piece heavy metal bands and as a solo singer/songwriter type. Although his main instrument is guitar, he plays bass and does a “passable job” on piano and drums.
In theatre he has worked as Scene Shop Foreman/ Assistant TD, Western Oregon University Dept. of Theatre and Dance; Student supervisor/assistant to Shop Foreman, ӶƵ University Theatre; Set and props construction/Props manager at University of North Dakota at Grand Forks; Carpenter/Shop Worker, Interpretive Exhibits, Salem, OR.
Sean Carlson has Post-Baccalaureate studies at Portland State University; a Bachelor of Music, ӶƵ University; and an Associates of Arts - Oregon Transfer, Chemeketa Community College,
