Biography
Ryan Biesack is a jazz drummer, percussionist and educator currently residing in Corvallis, Oregon. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Oregon, where he taught as a graduate teaching fellow from 2007-2009. In addition to his position at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ University, he is a Senior Instructor of Music at Oregon State.
Ryan has played professionally for over a decade, and has performed with Ron Miles, Danillo Perez, Ben Monder, Wayne Horvitz, Douglas Detrick, Ganesh Anandan, Konorak Reddy, Dylan Fowler, Mile Denny and many others. He has performed throughout the Midwest, the west coast, New York City, India and Europe, with ensembles ranging in scope from straight-ahead and swinging to cutting edge, modern and new music. Locally, he can be found performing regularly with a variety of regional artists such as The Mike Denny Quartet, The Joe Manis Trio, The Hashem Assadullahi Quintet, Douglas Detrick and many others in the Eugene and Portland areas.
Some of Ryan's most recent playing can be heard on the 2018 PJCE self titled release from Trio Untold, which he leads with pianist James Miley and guitarist Mike Nord.
