Biography
I chose to major in Japanese Studies not only because I like learning Japanese language a lot, but also because Japanese culture is something special to me. It is not only quirky and idiosyncratic, but also hard-working, respectful, and extremely admirable. Japan has both a foot in the past and its heritage, and one in the future, paving the way for the next chapter in global technological and environmental advancement. I have met some of my most cherished friends while participating in the Japanese program at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ, as well, so I am very happy I chose to do so.
I am planning on studying abroad through the Japan Studies Program for a whole school year during my Junior year. I hope to become an English Language teacher in Japan after college, and see what opportunities come my way from there, like being a translator, working in a Japanese business setting, or teaching Japanese somewhere else.
