Bio
Ambrin Ling (she/they) is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Studio Art department. She’s from the Chicago-land area where she completed both phases of her graduate education, her Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her Master in the Humanities at the University of Chicago. She’s taught at Wofford College in South Carolina and the University of Kansas. Her art responds to American landscape painting, inserting Asian, Black, and Indigenous women into spaces from which Western representation has historically omitted them. She has an identical twin sister, whom you may see around campus.
