Biography
Hi my name is Amanda, and I am a SARA at the GRAC. I am from Appleton Wisconsin, and I'm so excited to be a SARA co-cordinator alongside Veronica! I have been a SARA for a year, and I have really enjoyed everything I have been able to learn in this position, especially from my incredible peers. Advocacy is super important to me, and this past year I worked for State Rep Annessa Hartman, and our office worked tirelessly to pass HB 3456, which increased resources for survivors on college campuses. I was so thankful to see the work of my peers being valued within the Oregon legislature, and I hope to continue that advocacy work this next year to spread awareness for survivors across college campuses. In the future I hope to be a lawyer for women needing representation for child custody, or other issues relating to domestic violence. In my free time I enjoy being on the WU debate team, cooking, and spending time with my friends.
