Moot Court
As part of the first-year requirements, all students participate in a moot court competition. Students research and write an appellate brief, then argue at least once before a panel of judges.
Simulation-Based Courses
It can be difficult to learn negotiation skills or trial lawyering just by reading texts and taking tests. To be a great advocate who effectively resolves disputes, students also need to practice. But practicing new skills when a client's problem is on the line can be risky.
Trial Practice
Second- and third-year ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ law students are able to take advantage of numerous opportunities to gain hands-on trial practice.
Externship Program
The Externship Program immerses ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ law students in the fast-paced world of the practicing lawyer. Students are partnered with attorneys working in various legal settings in the wider community. These students are able to participate in legal work in many different contexts, under the constraints of a real-life practice.
Clinical Law Program
The Clinical Law Program at ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ University provides law students with the opportunity to represent clients in actual cases and transactions. In the process, they acquire both lawyering skills and a deeper understanding of how legal theories apply to the actual practice of law.
Pro Bono Honors Program
ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Pro Bono Honors Program enables students to enhance their learning experience by participating in community-based legal service projects.
