Biography
Before coming to ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ in 2011, Bev Ecklund worked as a reference librarian at Chemeketa Community College and the Woodburn Public Library. She also worked at the Salem Public Library for several years in various roles, including driving the Bookmobile and presenting children's storytimes in both Spanish and English. Ecklund was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She received a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Western Oregon University and a master's degree in library science from Texas Woman's University.
At ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ, Ecklund is the Associate Director of Career Planning and Development, assisting law students and graduates in finding legal employment both before and after graduation, as well as helping them grow professionally. She finds fulfillment in working with students and connecting people to the information they need is what drives her. Ecklund is a member of the National Association for Law Placement and the Oregon Legal Recruiters Association. In 2015, she was selected as the ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Law Staff Member of the Year.
In her spare time, Ecklund enjoys volunteering on her neighborhood association board, camping, and exploring national parks in the United States and Canada. She previously competed with the Cherry City Roller Derby and enjoys weightlifting.
