One feature that distinguishes the ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ University Debate Union from other excellent intercollegiate debate programs is our International Debate Program. Every year for the past decade, ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ University debaters have competed in debates in countries other than the United States. A partial list of these countries includes: Ireland, Australia, Malaysia, South Africa, Romania, Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Macedonia, Serbia, Canada, and the People's Republic of China.
This year, the ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ University Debate Union plans to compete at tournaments in China. ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ students will travel to those countries to participate in and to teach debate and advocacy. ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Debate Union also hosts international students for public and competitive debates. This year we are pleased to invite 2 students from Shanghai to compete in the Mark O. Hatfield Debate tournament in February.
